What's Covered
The Apple iPad warranty covers these issues under normal use conditions:
- Display defects (dead pixels, unresponsive touch areas)
- Battery defects (below 80% capacity within warranty)
- Button and switch failures
- Speaker or microphone issues
- Charging port defects
What's NOT Covered
The following are typically excluded from warranty coverage:
- Cracked or shattered screen from drops
- Water or liquid damage — unless you have AppleCare+
- Normal battery capacity reduction
- Damage from non-Apple accessories
- Cosmetic scratches or dents
How to Check Your Warranty Status
- Enter your serial number at checkcoverage.apple.com
- Go to Settings → General → About to find the serial number
- Use the Apple Support app
- Call Apple Support with your serial number
