What's Covered
The Microsoft Surface Pro warranty covers these issues under normal use conditions:
- Touchscreen defects (dead spots, ghost touches)
- Kickstand mechanism failures
- Battery defects
- Surface Pen compatibility hardware issues
- Camera and sensor hardware failures
- Type Cover connector defects
What's NOT Covered
The following are typically excluded from warranty coverage:
- Accidental damage (unless Microsoft Complete)
- Type Cover and Pen (covered under separate accessories warranty)
- Screen scratches
- Battery degradation from normal use
- Software issues

- Microsoft typically sends an advance replacement device
- Return defective device within 14 days of receiving replacement
