Samsung Home Appliances

- Find the model number and serial number on the rating plate
- - Washing machines: inside the door frame
- - Refrigerators: inside the fridge on the side wall
- - Dishwashers: inside the door edge
- Visit samsung.com/us/support and enter your model number
- Or call Samsung Home Appliance Support at 1-800-726-7864
Important: Samsung appliances have different warranty periods for different components: - 1 year: parts and labor (all components) - 10 years: Digital Inverter Motor (washing machines) - 10 years: Digital Inverter Compressor (refrigerators)
Samsung Warranty Registration
Registering your Samsung product isn't required for warranty coverage, but it makes claims easier:
- Go to samsung.com/us/support/account/register
- Sign in to your Samsung account (or create one)
- Enter your product's model number, serial number, and purchase date
- Upload a photo of your receipt (optional but recommended)
Registration creates a record that speeds up warranty claims and ensures Samsung has your purchase date on file.
What to Do If Your Samsung Warranty Has Expired
Even after your Samsung warranty expires, you have options:
- EU legal guarantee — 2-year minimum protection in the European Union
- UK Consumer Rights Act — up to 6 years of protection
- Extended component warranties — check if your appliance has a longer warranty on specific parts (motor, compressor)
- Samsung out-of-warranty repair — available at fixed prices
- Authorized service centers — often cheaper than Samsung direct
- Credit card purchase protection — check if your card extends warranties
To avoid missing warranty deadlines in the future, use WarrantyControl to track all your Samsung products and get expiration alerts.
