What's Covered
The Sony PlayStation warranty covers these issues under normal use conditions:
- Hardware defects in the console
- DualSense controller manufacturing defects
- Disc drive failures (not caused by foreign objects)
- HDMI port defects
- Power supply failures
What's NOT Covered
The following are typically excluded from warranty coverage:
- Physical damage from drops or impacts
- Overheating damage from blocked ventilation
- Disc drive damage from inserting foreign objects
- Software or game issues
- Accessories purchased separately (covered under their own warranty)
How to Check Your Warranty Status
- Visit playstation.com/support and sign in to your PSN account
- Check the serial number on the back or bottom of your console
- Contact PlayStation Support with your console serial number
- Refer to your original purchase receipt for warranty start date
How to Claim Your Warranty
- Visit playstation.com/service and submit a repair request
- Call PlayStation Support at 1-800-345-7669 (US)
- Ship your console to Sony's repair center using the prepaid label provided
- Track your repair status online through your PlayStation account
